Dr Robert Chang’s Lecture on Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Dr Robert Chang, MD, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, Stanford University Medical Center visited us and gave a lecture on “How Artificial Intelligence (AI) will save sight?” on 6th January 2017. Dr. Chang reviewed the remarkable ways in which computers can learn patterns that enable them to eventually outperform human ability, as demonstrated in the Chinese board game GO. His sharing on the revolutionary application of computer-based learning into clinical diagnosis, detection, and follow-up highlighted the upcoming new horizons of medical technology in ophthalmology. We look forward to seeing new developments in this field this year!
