Job Description :
The appointee(s) will (a) participate in community services and eye-screening projects to be held on Saturdays or Sundays; (b) co-ordinate public education workshops and lectures for primary students and parents, school teachers and social workers under eye-screening projects; and (c) perform clinical, surgical and research duties at the CUHK Eye Centre in the Hong Kong Eye Hospital if needed. In-house training, including assisting in consultation, ophthalmic procedures and investigations, and assisting in eye surgeries, will be provided where appropriate.
Applicants should be/have (i) registered nurses in Hong Kong; (ii) a valid Practising Certificate issued by The Nursing Council of Hong Kong; (iii) patient and caring; and (iv) good communication skills. Knowledge of ophthalmology and experience in surgical settings are preferred.
Appointment will be made on a contract basis for 1 to 2 years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

Job Description :
The appointee(s) will be involved in both team and independent research. Duties include (a) performing optometric tasks for clinical services and research projects, with participations in community outreach projects and research projects; and (b) performing ophthalmic investigative procedures on a need basis, such as confocal microscopy, multi-focal ERG, optical coherence tomography, fundus photography, pupillometry and orthoptic assessment. On-the-job training will be provided. Good training and professional development will be available.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Optometry; (ii) an Optometrists Board Certificate of Registration (Part I); and (iii) a self-motivated, hard-working and honest attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility. Research experience in Ophthalmology or Visual Sciences is preferred. Local or non-local applicants with management or research experience are welcome to apply.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1- or 2-year contract (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
